Responsibilities
As a High Voltage Cable Engineer:
- You are a key expert and engineer in high voltage AC and DC cable systems.
- You are in charge of the technical follow-up through all stages of large-scale cable projects, in particular renewable energy projects such as offshore wind farms.
- You perform cable ampacity studies to design the medium voltage and high voltage export cable systems of submarine and land cable systems.
- You develop and review functional specifications of high voltage cable systems with a focus on the project specific needs.
- You are responsible for the detailed design of cable systems and their related accessories and work in close collaboration with cable suppliers and installation contractors.
- You monitor the manufacturing, factory acceptance testing, installation activities and on-site testing for both onshore and offshore cable projects.
- You share knowledge with clients through consulting and training.
- You are instrumental to the further development and growth of Enersynt.
- You actively contribute to a sustainable energy system.
Your profile
- You have a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, High Voltage Systems.
- You have at least five years of experience with power systems, with an emphasis on insulated cable systems.
- You are pragmatic, eager to learn, and solution-oriented, with a hands-on mentality.
- You appreciate working in a highly collaborative environment.
- You have effective verbal and written communication skills and easily adapt your communication style to suit different technical and non-technical audiences.
- You are fluent in English, knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus.
