We solve big energy problems with great people
At Enersynt we believe that through technology and innovation we can take on one of the biggest challenges of the 21st century: transitioning to a sustainable energy system
Our story
Where it all began
Crossing paths
About 10 years ago, Antoni Dalmau, Stijn Hendrix and Paul van Leest crossed paths during the design and construction of the Gemini offshore wind farm project. Each in their respective roles, they jointly weathered the challenges of this unique project, stretching the limits of what was considered possible by some electrical engineers.
Start of the Enersynt journey
After working on several other offshore wind projects, in 2019 Antoni, Stijn and Paul joined forces and created Enersynt. As a small independent electrical engineering firm, they found that it gave them the freedom to be more creative and adapt quickly to the needs of the industry.
Broadening the horizon
While the new company started with a strong focus on offshore wind farm grid connections, our customers repeatedly asked us to apply our knowledge to other areas of the energy transition. Today, we are active in various sectors, from renewable power plants, battery energy storage systems and green hydrogen production to the electrification of heavy industry.
Looking ahead
What's in a name
Our name Enersynt is derived from Energy Systems Integration.
We strive for an integrated energy system where multiple energy carriers such as electricity, thermal pathways, and green molecules are combined with infrastructures such as communications, water, and transportation, to maximize efficiency and minimize waste. This will allow for the optimisation of the energy system as a whole, rather than decarbonising and pursuing separate efficiency gains in each sector independently.
This vision drives us daily to work on grid connection projects that accelerate the transition towards a more integrated energy system.

Our vision is to realise an integrated energy system which is coordinated across multiple pathways and geographies to provide reliable and cost-effective energy services with a minimal impact on the environment.

R&D
Accelerating progress through innovation
By actively investing in innovation, Enersynt aims to set out pathways to meet the demands of the electrical power system in the transition to a net zero energy system while ensuring stable and affordable energy supplies.
Innovative tools for offshore wind & HVDC grids
As a partner organisation of InnoDC, a EU Horizon 2020 research & innovation program, Enersynt supported the development of highly skilled PhD experts and models to integrate new wind energy technology into the power system.
Coordinated Planning of Hybrid Offshore Assets
In the CORDOBA innovation project, facilitated by the Blue Cluster and Flux50, a grid design optimization tool has been created to provide a step-wise development plan for hybrid offshore assets. Optimizing the combination of wind farms, interconnectors and storage results in a robust, cost-effective and modular grid design.
